"God wants me to be honoured here," such were the words of St. Anne Yvon Nicolazic July 25, 1624. Using this sanctuary, St. Anne invites us to discover her message and to be guided  by herself and her daughter Mary, to Christ Jesus.

Stele of marine

Mémorial_des_marins.jpg
The stele "Sainte Anne and sailors" was established in 1999. This is a column topped by a granite statue representing St. Anne and Mary.

Sailors have a special devotion to St. Anne. In the midst of storms, the Breton sailors pray to Mary's mother to keep them from sinking. Several paintings art gallery showing the recognition of sailors rescued prayed for St. Anne.

In shipwrecks by which we do not find the bodies, the celebration for the sailors perished at sea takes place in the basilica. Families can go to this place of remembrance, where you can read the names of ships and crews lost at sea.
